Leaf collection (Spring pickup):
Leaves must be in bags in order for the village DPW to pick them up.
Brush pickup (Spring pickup):
Brush pickup will begin April 15, 2010 (weather permitting). If weather is bad on that date, brush pickup will be on the next sunny day!
The village will be renting a chipper. All tree butts must face the street and be stacked in an orderly fashion. If brush piles are not stacked properly, village employees will not pick them up. Brush will be chipped on the 15th of each month and consecutively until November 1, 2010. Also, if you cut a large tree on private property it is your responsibility to clean it up.
*** Please note the council recommends to keep the road right-of-way clear, please put brush out to the street on the 14th of the month. We prefer brush to be placed next to curb/street no more than 24 hours prior to the 15th of the month.
RECYCLING INFORMATION:
The Village of Sheridan is happy to announce that recycling will begin back in the Village starting April 6th!!! (Please note that the days for Sheridan have changed.) The dates and locations are:
Sheridan: 1st Tuesday of the Month - 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Fire Station
Stanton: 1st Saturday of the Month - 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. - City Parking Lot
Carson City: 3rd Wednesday of the Month - 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. - Garfield St.
Crystal: 3rd Wednesday of the Month - 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. - Crystal Fire Hall
Edmore: 3rd Saturday of the Month - 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Dept. of Public Works
Lakeview: 4th Wednesday of the Month - 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. - High School Parking Lot
Howard City: 2nd Tuesday of the Month 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. AND 4th Saturday of the Month - 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Fire Station/Village Offices.
Six Lakes: 1st Wednesday of the Month - 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - City Parking Lot
Eureka Twp: 3rd Tuesday of the Month - 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Grattan Academy Parking Lot
Recycle World has a permanent facility located at 8920 W. Sidney Rd., Greenville (corner of Sidney Rd. and M-91), open Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
